I am planning to buy a new pci-e video card but i am really scared now there are som many brands out there that make video cards such as ATI Radeon, GeForce, Matrox and so on.

Here are some common criteria to look at:

1. reasonable price
2. great gaming and video editing experience
3. should be quiet !?

Please suggest a videocard and if its possible please tell me the reason why you suggest it?

Nvidia is for a long time the most productive manufactor for high quality video cards!
i would recommend the GeForce 7800 GTX Graphics Chip! A performance king of the hill,  :lol:
The price is not too high, its quiet and you it delivers great performance
and best 3D performance or video and gaming experience!
But Keep in mind that my recommendation is very personal and you also have to take a look at some benchmarks,
test and stuff!

you have to know video editing is just a 2D application,
therefore massive CPU and lots of system memory is
really more important than good vido card.

I would be looking for the Sapphire Radeon X800XL or
maybe a nVidia GeForce 6600GT
